I didn’t paint much for about 8 years but got back into it during quarantine. My paintings, up until recently, follow a very similar style as the rest of my art - cartoony, colorful, playful. I like to play with texture in a lot of my pieces, spawning from trying to get the most out of 5 colors of Posca markers.
Recently I’ve been working on larger canvases, developing a series of paintings for an upcoming show in 2025. I’m using the leftover fluorescent paint from my Meow Wolf project and leaning into the low opacity of the paint by layering over and over again. It’s been really freeing to let go of the confines of my typical style in this new series. More to come soon!
